Cambridge Analytica Whistleblower Reportedly had Access to Facebook Data In New Startup - shepherdfrocution

The controversy surrounding Facebook and analytics firm Cambridge Analytica refuses to die, and in fact is getting murkier per diem.

A new report from BuzzFeed News claims that whistleblower Christopher Wylie too had access to the same information on 50 million Facebook users that was improperly procured by Cambridge Analytica. The report claims that a startup venture together by Wylie, the former Cambridge Analytica employee, had access to information on millions of Facebook users support in 2022.

The startup, called Eunoia Technologies, as wel pitched Republican political operative Corey Lewandowski on "microtargeting tools" that could personify used to the profit of Donald Trump's 2022 Presidential campaign. All the same, Wylie recently told UK lawmakers that he hadn't used the Cambridge Analytica data put for other projects and the data "got deleted, I believe, in 2022 on my end." Wylie's lawyer, Tamsin Gracie, told Buzzfeed News that Wylie "has not worked for Political party clients since going away [Cambridge Analytica]" and that Eunoia Technologies didn't have admittance to any"data or assets".

Piece currently on that point's no indication that Wylie's inauguration used the database or inclined IT to Lewandowski, the fact that it had access to the data in the least is a stark revelation in the current scenario regarding Facebook's data crisis. Eunoia Technologies having access to personal data of all over 50 million Facebook users is another example of how Facebook is currently incapable to track how its partners use user data collected many months past, in front its privateness changes.

Earlier this month, reports revealed that Cambridge Analytica had improperly procured data of over 50 billion Facebook users without their consent back in 2022. The faithful had not procured the information instantly and had nonheritable information technology from Global Science Research (GSR), which collected it for academic purposes. Cambridge Analytica then worked with the Donald Trump campaign during the 2022 US chief of state elections, and is currently under probe in the UK for its supposed role in the 2022 Brexit campaign.
